Somel, founded in 1959, became part of the Simpro Group in 1997. Specialized in hot forging, Somel focuses its activities in the car, motorcycle and business vehicle fields, as well as in all those sectors requiring the production of high-precision metal parts though hot forging, for substantial sizes and weights.

Besides production, Somel is also equipped with a special shop for machining operations, such as facing, milling, flattening, drilling or threading.

The company designs and manufactures the products also through an electro-discharge machining process, with four forging lines; moreover, it is structured to perform a quality check on 100% of machined parts, thus minimizing faults.

The Somel production system is subject to quality certification with reference to the ISO 9001: 2015 and IATF 16949: 2016 standards.
