AtkinsRéalis Secures $65 Million Contract for Nation’s Largest Waste-to-Energy Plant in Florida 🔋♻️

Engineering consultancy AtkinsRéalis has been awarded a $65 million, 10-year contract to provide key professional and engineering services for the development of a new Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plant in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Set to become the largest WTE facility in the U.S., the plant will replace an incinerator that was largely destroyed in a 2023 fire. The new facility will process 4,000 tons of waste daily, converting it into renewable energy, and marks a significant step in addressing the county’s waste challenges.
