Hamburg Welcomes Second Cashierless REWE Store 🛒✨

Hamburg's retail scene has just become even more innovative with the launch of the city’s second REWE Pick&Go store. Building on the success of Europe's largest cashierless supermarket, this new location is now operational in Altonaerstraße, at the corner of Amandastraße. The official opening was marked by a ceremonial start from Hamburg’s First Mayor Dr. Peter Tschentscher.

The REWE Pick&Go system offers a range of payment options to enhance the shopping experience. Customers can choose to pay at the traditional checkout, use self-checkout terminals either by scanning items or via computer vision technology, or opt for a completely cashless experience through a mobile app. This flexibility aims to cater to various customer preferences and streamline the shopping process.

Jochen Vogel, CEO at REWE Nord, emphasized the achievement of launching two Pick&Go stores within just a few weeks, highlighting the exceptional teamwork and collaboration involved in this endeavor. The goal remains clear: to provide customers with the best possible shopping experience.
