TES and ZEG Launch Green Hydrogen Initiative to Boost Germany's Clean Energy Transition
Tree Energy Solutions (TES) and ZEG Power (ZEG) have signed a Letter of Intent to collaborate on advancing green hydrogen production in Germany. This partnership aims to integrate ZEG’s innovative hydrogen production technology with carbon capture to enhance clean energy solutions and reduce carbon emissions.
TES has tasked ZEG with a comprehensive feasibility study, set to commence in September 2024. The study will examine the technical, economic, and environmental viability of deploying ZEG’s technology, including the potential launch of an initial demonstration plant. The results of this study are anticipated within six months.
If the feasibility study proves successful, the project could significantly contribute to Germany’s green hydrogen capabilities, supporting the country’s transition to a sustainable energy economy. The initiative is expected to leverage TES’s expertise in producing electronic natural gas (e-NG) and ZEG’s advancements in hydrogen production to provide a scalable and cost-effective clean energy solution.
Jens Schmidt, Chief Technology Officer of TES, highlighted that the partnership aligns with TES’s mission to offer reliable and affordable green energy solutions. Arild Selvig, CEO of ZEG, expressed enthusiasm about the potential to cut carbon emissions and reduce costs through this collaboration.
TES, headquartered in Europe, operates globally, utilizing solar and wind energy to generate green hydrogen. This renewable hydrogen is then combined with climate-neutral CO2 to produce e-NG, a sustainable energy source that can integrate seamlessly into existing infrastructure.
