Upcoming Renewable Energy Projects and Business Opportunities Across USA

As part of the Biden-Harris administration’s commitment to achieving 100% carbon-free electricity by 2035, significant progress is being made in renewable energy development across the United States. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has recently approved 40 renewable energy projects, comprising 9 solar, 13 geothermal, and 18 gen-tie projects. These initiatives span approximately 12,002 acres of BLM-managed lands and are expected to generate up to 7,461 megawatts (MW) of electricity—enough to power 2,428,594 homes for a year.

Recent Lease Sales and Opportunities

The BLM continues to facilitate renewable energy growth through competitive lease sales and notices for upcoming projects. Key recent and upcoming lease offerings include:

  • Elisabeth Solar I (Arizona): Solar project spanning 2,254 acres.
