Hithium Tech Invests $100M in New Battery Assembly Facility in Texas 🚀🔋

Hithium Tech USA Inc. has announced plans to invest $100 million in a new 483,874-square-foot battery module and system assembly facility in Mesquite, Texas. The facility is expected to have an annual capacity of 10 GWh and will create 141 new jobs in the area.

Chairman Jeff Wu highlighted the facility's potential to enhance production for the U.S. market and support local economic growth. Mayor Daniel Alemán, Jr. expressed pride in welcoming Hithium as the first industrial company in the new 20 East Trinity Pointe business park, reinforcing Mesquite’s commitment to a rejuvenated manufacturing economy.

This investment follows a trend of significant manufacturing developments in Texas, including a $210 million semiconductor facility and a $110 million alloy production plant. However, challenges remain in the battery supply chain, including concerns over labor practices and the need for improved affordability of electric vehicles.
