Hydro, the Norwegian aluminium group, is boosting its recycling operations in North America with an €86 million (NOK 1 billion) investment at its Cressona, Pennsylvania facility, raising its annual capacity from 220,000 to 270,000 tonnes. 🌍✨

The company has also partnered with Padnos to launch advanced sorting operations in Grandville, Michigan, targeting 20,000 tonnes of mixed post-consumer scrap annually for its low-carbon aluminium line, Circal. πŸ”βš™οΈ

With plans to double its recycling capacity to 1.2 million tonnes by 2030, Hydro is already ahead of schedule, having produced over 443,000 tonnes last year. A new sorting facility in Wrexham, UK, is also set to begin operations by January 2026. πŸŒ±πŸš€
