Voestalpine has announced a reorganization of its automotive component business in Germany due to declining demand and structural changes. This includes the closure of its Birkenfeld site, impacting about 220 jobs, while Dettingen, Schmoelln, Schwaebisch Gmuend, and Boehmenkirch will form a joint production network focusing on core technologies. The measures aim to secure the long-term future of around 2,000 jobs in the automotive supply segment.
