Statera Energy Submits Plans for UK’s First Utility-Scale Green Hydrogen Project 🌱💡

Statera Energy has submitted plans for the UK's first large-scale green hydrogen project, Kintore Hydrogen, set to be built in Aberdeenshire. The project aims to balance the renewable energy system by using surplus wind power to produce green hydrogen. When completed, Kintore Hydrogen will have a 3 GW capacity and could save up to 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 annually. The first 500 MW phase is expected to be operational by 2028.

The project will create up to 3,500 construction jobs and 200 long-term jobs, contributing £1 billion to the UK economy by 2035. Positioned to make use of Scotland’s renewable resources, Kintore will support decarbonizing industries and help secure the UK’s energy future. 🌍⚡
