GE HealthCare (GEHC) has announced a partnership with University Medicine Essen to create a new Theranostics Center of Excellence in Germany. This center aims to enhance the use of theranostics in clinical settings and promote research focused on personalized cancer care ๐๏ธ.
As part of this initiative, GEHC will supply essential equipment for the university's new radiotracer development center, including a cyclotron โ๏ธ, synthesizer, and laboratory facilities ๐งช. The installation will feature advanced imaging systems, such as the Omni Legend 32cm PET/CT scanner ๐ธ, SIGNA PET/MR scanner, and various SPECT/CT systems, equipped with AI software to improve image acquisition and analytics through MIM Softwareโs suite ๐.
Additionally, GE HealthCare is working with nuclear medicine specialists at the university to develop a new total-body PET/CT scanner ๐ฅ, further advancing the capabilities of cancer diagnostics and treatment.
