Meta has signed a long-term PPA with Longroad Energy to purchase 100% of the energy from the 300MWac (400MWdc) '1000 Mile' solar project in Yoakum County, Texas. The project, Longroad's largest to date, will supply power to the Southwest Power Pool grid and support Meta’s data centers in the region. Set for commercial operation in 2026, this marks the latest in a series of renewable energy deals for Meta, which secured over 1.2GW across the U.S. in 2024 alone. The move aligns with Meta's goal to power operations with 100% clean energy.
