Stellantis to recall about 19,500 hybrid mini-vans in U.S. over battery fire risk
Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler, is recalling 19,516 hybrid minivans in the United States due to a potential fire risk associated with their battery packs. This recall, announced by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Tuesday, affects certain Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) manufactured between 2017 and 2021.
The NHTSA advises owners of these vehicles to avoid charging them and to park them outside, away from structures, until necessary repairs are made to mitigate the fire risk.
